Quiznos has numerous vegan options, however they aren’t the most vegan-friendly sandwich shop out there. But us vegans can build a decent meal to get by at Quiznos.

I’d recommend other sandwich shops, such as Potbelly or Jason’s Deli over Quiznos, as they both have more vegan options. But if you only have a Quiznos near you, or simply prefer them, there are still vegan options at Quiznos. Just not as many.
Despite those other sandwich shops having more vegan options, Quiznos is far from the worst sandwich shop for vegans. That spot is held by Jimmy Johns, which not only has few vegan options but also has an owner that loves killing endangered species and “hunting.”
Vegan Bread Choices at Quiznos:
- Original White Bread Sub
- Wheat Bread Sub
- Grilled Flatbread
- Others At Select Locations (see below)
The above three should be available at all Quiznos, however many others are also vegan.
Their Italian Herb Wrap bread, Faccocia Bread (Wheat & White), and torpedo breads are also vegan, however not all locations seem to have them, so don’t count on them being available unless you’ve been to that Quiznos before and seen it there. If they’re there those should always be vegan though.
Vegan Sandwich Fillings at Quiznos:
- Cucumbers
- Guacamole
- Banana Peppers
- Black Olives
- Jalapeno Peppers
- Pepperoncini Peppers
- Pickles
- Mixed Salad Greens
- Green Bell Pepper
- Mushrooms
- Red Onion
- Sauteed Green Peppers
- Sauteed Mushrooms
- Sauteed Red Onion
- Romaine Lettuce
- Tomato
It’s pretty clear what toppings are vegan when it comes to the sandwich fillings, but the above is what you should expect if you go to Quiznos, as all the above should be available at each location.
I’d highly recommend stacking all the sauteed vegetables and getting some guacamole, as they really kick things to a whole new level — also if you want some protein and are in a more vegan-friendly big city, some locations now have vegan corned beef, essentially deli-style vegan meat. It’s not widely available, which is why we didn’t list it above in the main list.
Vegan Side Options at Quiznos:
- Garden Salad (Chopped Salad)
- Various Chips
The Soups available at Quiznos are not vegan, all of them contain animal-broth, dairy/eggs, and/or meat directly.
Vegan Sauces & Dressings at Quiznos:
- Fat Free Balsamic Dressing
- BBQ Sauce
- Four Pepper Chili Sauce
- Herb Oil
- Red Wine Vinaigrette (see below)
- Zesty Grill Sauce
Yes, I put the Red Wine Vinaigrette on the list of vegan Sauces/Dressings. It used to be non-vegan and contain dairy/eggs, but now it’s free from those animal ingredients and is vegan. That’s at least what Quiznos allergen statement says and what they directly told me. I can’t guarantee if it’s vegan or not, so it’s up to you if you check at the store, avoid it entirely, or just take the risk, but it’s my understanding that it should be vegan.
Those are all the vegan sauces and dressings though, the apple cider vinaigrette is non-vegan as it contains eggs so be careful with that one.
Vegan Desserts at Quiznos:

Unfortunately all of the desserts served at Quiznos are non-vegan.
Not Really Interested In a Sub-Shop?
I know many people out there who eat at sub shops all the time, but have never given any other similar shops a try that doesn’t sell subs in particular.
If you haven’t given them a try I’d highly recommend trying Pita Pit or Extreme Pita, both of which have tons of vegan options and sell sandwiches much like sub shops, but instead in Pitas! Best of all they, unlike most sub shops, have vegan “meat-replacements” such as black bean patties or falafels.
